July 6, 2015 Waterton to Banff

Day 3--July 6---right? We dinked around and did not leave our campsite until around 11am. David made us hot chocolate. We went from Waterton Springs to PincherCreek. Guess what there was a Walmart there that tied us up for a while. We hadn't gone very far. We went to Longview and got gas. We got onto Hwy 40. It was the most breathtaking ride.

Everything that we like. Views that were like paintings, curvy roads with long straight aways. This road just opened up 3 weeks ago for the year. There were mtn. goats on the road several times.

It was a pristine drive with little other travelers on the road. Amazing. The best part was hearing David say "Whoa" at some of the sites. We got onto Hwy 1 at about 530pm headed for Banff. We got to Banff and found a campground at Tunnel Mountain. It has great showers and toilets. We have a fire. Our food tonight was Chicken and Rice along with salads of Greek and Garden. Yum food. I need a diet pepsi. It is cooling off rapidly.
