July 5th Glacier to Canada

Day 2--We left early to go to church. We made it to St. Ignacious at 9am but it didn't start until 10. We drove to Polson and their church started at 10. Two wards were meeting together and with a lot of holiday travelers, it was a full house. It was a special meeting and we enjoyed the testimonies and a final song of Star Spangled Banner. After church we went to Walmart and David met someone who he had worked with years ago in San Antonio. Small world. After Walmart, we went to EnJelisca sitting on the water. It was ok food, but great service.
We rode from Polson to Kalispell and got gas. We went from Kalispell to West Glacier. We stopped for pictures. It is a breath taking drive over the Highway to the Sun. The temp was about 46 degrees up on Logan Pass. There Tim made friends with Brent Fairbanks who happens to be a member of the church. Brent told us ideas for our trip and we bid him goodbye. We finished riding through the park to St. Mary and to go across the Canadian border before it closed. We got to the border crossing and it was backed up about 20+ cars. Soon a truck came back to us and it was our friend Brent. He told us to follow him to another crossing that goes to Waterton. It was a good move and there was no one else ahead of us in line. We got through easily and had our guns checked etc and on our way. The border officer even told us a good place to go to camp at Waterton Springs. It was a great place. We would recommend it. It cost about $25. It has showers and laundry. We got to bed so late that we got up late to frost on all the motorcycles and our tents. A stark contrast from 100 degrees the day before. We ate Spaghetti and Broccoli salad.
